We started out in Northport, NY  - had a fun journey down main street on a very, very windy day.. Did I mention it was probably one of the coldest days in a while. The wedding party bundled up for a bit and then ran out to do their photos.

Laura and Chirag met up before the ceremony near the marina, we then walked down to main street -then had double ceremonies! Hindu and a Catholic..

“The very best part of our wedding day was the incredible heartwarming feeling you have when you see so many friends and family in the same room for the same purpose.
They traveled from all over the country and world to celebrate the love that Chirag and I share as we begin this new chapter of life together. It was essential for us to incorporate traditions from both of our backgrounds and to celebrate the ritual of marriage from both religious perspectives. Initially it seemed like an impossible task to pull off two ceremonies in two locations in a matter of hours. Yet every single vendor worked so hard to assure us it was possible. I’m so glad we were able to make it happen! Exposing our guests to the beautiful elements of the Hindu culture was worth all of the preparations.

Without the very patient staff of NYIT de Seversky Mansion, our incredible florist Diana from Petals, the insanely fun and talented Tim from DJ’s @ Work, the gentlemen of Kalash Decor, our brilliant Hindu priest, our incredibly supportive families and last but not least- the team from Laura Ryan Photography, it would not have been possible. If only we could go back and do it all over again….”

we found this awesome store on main street that allowed us so nicely to use as a backdrop for our photos …

Unique details, Kristen and Rob had their wedding at the Old Field Club in Setauket.  For the first part of the formals, we ended up walking over to the cabanas near by- got some great pics on this windy, sunny beautiful day

. I love Kristen’s attention to detail, to the socks, the table numbers, the flowers.. Her dj was awesome, spun records which is a rare occurrence these days. ( have to add the name of the dj shortly) Finally a Beligium Waffle truck, OMG so amazingly good. They came from Manhattan to make the trip to the Island. ( they even catered to my tree nut allergy when I went to get a waffle after the wedding :)

So much fun, thank you Rob & Kristen for allowing me to photography your day. ( Vendors at the bottom of this post ) Also note Kristen’s love of ETSY :)

So I am not going to lie my life has radically changed this year with my Daughter Rowan being born, in a awesome way. Although at times it can be challenging, after 7 months my Husband and I have hopefully mastered some type of routine.  Rowan has just started teething, laughing a lot and now sitting up more than 5 seconds. I am looking forward to 2012 and I  know everyday is a learning experience.

This wedding year has  been so awesome, I can’t even tell you how great my clients are and how we connected so well. Next year  I am booked for all of 2012, I will still  be taking smaller commissions. I will be booking for 2013 in January.

On that note I will be closing shop from December 24th – Jan 3rd. If there are any questions or concerns please email me  as I will be away most of the week. I have tons of new work to blog this week before I go on break.

On that note check out Rowan in her Holiday dress and some recent shots :)
